Danville, VA – Luna nanoWorks, a division of Luna Innovations Incorporated, has been recognized as a Nano 50™ award recipient by Nanotech Briefs magazine. The first annual Nano 50™ awards recognize the top 50 technologies, innovators, and products with the greatest potential to advance the commercialization of nanotechnology.

Luna's TRIMETASPHERE® carbon nanomaterials placed in the "Product" category as "a product that incorporates nanotechnology in its design and/or operation, with significant current or near-term commercial applications."

Nanotech Briefs, an official digital engineering publication of NASA Tech Briefs, has created the Nano 50™ Awards to recognize the top 50 technologies, products, and innovators that have significantly impacted - or are expected to impact - the state of the art in nanotechnology. The awards are judged by a panel of independent nanotechnology experts and presented at the awards dinner held in conjunction with the NASA Tech Briefs at the Nano 2005 Conference and Exhibition in Boston, Mass., Nov. 10-11.
